As part of a series entitled 7 Necessities For a Woman To Feel Like a Woman Through the Eyes Of a Man, Amsterdam-based artist Ted Noten has designed the Dior 001. Are you looking for the perfect gift for your sci-fi loving, well styled, secret agent design aficionado girl? If so, this weapon with a not-so-subtle James Bond reference might be your ticket to happiness by association. Made from a 3D printed nylon body with 18 carat gold details produced via traditional goldsmithing methods, the weapon is just small enough to fit your lady love’s medicine, lip-gloss, hairpin, USB stick (for those “classified” documents) and some cash for the quick getaway if the need ever arises. Noten’s other work from the series includes sunglasses, a bag, a bionic arm piece, shawl and more. The selection is being presented by the Ornamentum Gallery on the occasion of Design Miami/Basel which takes place from June 14 – 18 in Basel, Switzerland.
