DFA has teamed up with Nooka to create The Juan Maclean x NookaNooka watch. Makes sense considering Nooka is the official sponsor for Juan’s US Tour this spring. The press release says that the little robot will be hitting the road this month and next with The Juan Maclean and making appearances at select shows. Not really sure what that means? Will there be a man dressed up like this robot? Might be fun if you’re off your rocker. Or are they hyping up a little plastic toy that Juan will be carrying around with him at the shows? Not so great. I guess you’ll have to go to the gig to find out. Anywho, the watch was designed by Mike Vadino, the graphic design mind behind DFA Records. And to keep it all in the family, Pat Mahoney is the guy behind the actual sculpting.
