If anyone suggests disco is dead, they clearly have no place on the dance floor — not back in the day, and not now either. And perhaps most especially not on May 10th at the Hollywood Bowl when HARD brings disco’s largest legends to smash the biggest disco ball in decades. The show will take place at the historic Hollywood Bowl, with the Italian godfather of disco Giorgio Moroder alongside the peerless Nile Rodgers (with his band Chic), who has worked with a long list of legends including Diana Ross, David Bowie and of course recently Daft Punk. Warming things up for Moroder and Rodgers will be nu-disco glitterball enthusiasts Destructo, Oliver and Tensnake.

But no need to wait a month to get down, you can boogie right now with the hour-long mixtape below covering 20+ years of disco old and new. Mixed by Oliver, the Generations of Disco mixtape features the likes of Chicago, Kano, Norma Jean, Gino Soccio, Nightlife Unlimited, Dance Reaction and of course plenty of Moroder and Chic, finishing off with a track by Oliver himself (with Alex Metric). Stream Generations of Disco below, and if you want to check out the Moroder + Chic Hollywood Bowl show get your tickets here.
