Furniture

We’ve had our eye on Chilean designer Rodrigo Alonso for a minute now. The last time his work caught our attention was with his super playful line of jewelry dubed Jocale. And now we’re obsessing over his recycled plastic furniture. He used 100% waste obtained from random electronic devices, toys, drink trays, stadium seats and […]

Love the playful vibe of this bookcase by Paris based designer, Joachim Jirou-Najou. All the colors are a little much for my personal taste, but I really like how you can stack / arrange the inner parts however you want. If I had a garage and tools and skills I’d totally make my own.

I’m typically not too drawn to the whole Steampunk vibe. Some of it is pretty interesting, I’ve seen a few pairs of goggles I wouldn’t mind rocking, but a lot just looks like something the neighborhood tweaker would concoct in his garage at like 3am. The Catena Wall Clock By Andreas Dober has a little […]

Never again will you have to tell guests where to hang their jackets

Not a whole lot to say about this other than I think it’s a super creative approach to hanging a coat up. The come in white, red and dark grey. If you’re interested in buying you can email them directly here.

It does seem like it could be totally unbalanced if the base isn’t super weighed down. But given the fact […]

Did they really have to call it a sconce?

The word Sconce couldn’t be more of a turn off. I hear the word and I picture my mom’s house or something old-timey and out of touch. It definitely doesn’t sound like a product I’d admit to owning. Yet I want this one. Might have something to do with the fact that they’re hand formed […]

Nothing too complicated… but I like the creativity

These two products from Chris Kabel caught my eye. The Seam Chair, which is bag tailored to the shape of a chair is filled with sand and put in an oven under extreme pressure. After some baking the sand id taken out leaving a hollow super strong chair made out of only polypropylene (a cheap, […]

Love the bold lines of this flatpack shelf. It’s a great minimalist / modern look that won’t look out of place next to more contemporary furniture as well as with classic modernist furniture by someone like Eames, etc. The word timeless comes to mind. Jörg Schatzmann is all about DIY / tinkering, low / no budget […]
