Ducati unveiled their new Streetfighter yesterday at the Milan Bike Show, and boy is it sick. These “streetfighters” — essentially sport bikes minus the fairings, and with a more upright riding position — are my fave class of bikes anyway, and you could expect Ducati to pull a trump card. I remember seeing the Monster for the first time, and all other streetfighters since have been woeful imitators.

The bike is based on their outgoing 1098, only with a longer wheelbase to counter the altered riding position (cos the more rearward weight, the a greater tendency to pull wheelies). Sure, it’ll pop 155 hps and 85 lbs of torque, but isn’t the main point of these just to floss?
