New York-based clothing and accessories company CXXVI (pronounced like this) features the Marlin Spike Knife. With the skill of more than 30 years experience in scrimshaw artistry, each knife is individually etched by hand and filled with black India ink and sealed with 2 coats of archival wax to protect the intricate design and enhance the beauty of the ivory. The front of the knife features the silhouette of a sperm whale with a peek under its skin, while the opposite side features the phrase “Pride of the Port.” With a 440 stainless sheepsfoot blade and a marlin spike, this nautical knife is designed with the same techniques historic mariners used years ago, with the handle made of bone, the bolsters made of nickel silver and measuring 4 ½” closed.
