Inspired by Finnish four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen’s 205 mph world-record breaking run on the frozen Baltic Sea, the Breitling for Bentley “Ice Speed Record” Chronograph is a celebration combining aesthetics from both top-tier luxury brands. The speeds were achieved in Bentley’s most potent convertible ever, the Supersport “Ice Speed Record” (of which only 100 will be produced), which proved to be the inspiration for the watch. Fittingly, only 100 of the watches will be made available… to those 100 discriminating few who buy the car. In fact the chronograph and limited edition extreme Bentley share many design cues: distinctive red detailing, carbon fiber fascia with dashboard-style dial, classically knurled finish on the control buttons. Water resistant to 100m, the Breitling for Bentley “Ice Speed Record” Watch also features 38 jewels, and a titanium case numbered 1-100 corresponding with its twin vehicle. About as exclusive as a wristwatch can get.
