The CLS's little 4-door coupé brother makes its debut

This is going to be a big week for concept reveals in anticipation of the Beijing Motor Show, as we’ve already seen with the Audi RS Q3 Concept High-Performance Compact SUV. Now its their German rivals turn over at Mercedes-Benz to get some shine… although not sure if these leaks are going to make Benz happy for the exposure, or shake their fists at leaky fissures in their organization. Regardless, what we see here is the much anticipated, much rumored Concept Style Coupe, aka CSC, the “mini-CLS” looking to fit in right under one of Benz’s best looking vehicles. And like its CLS older brethren, this CSC is a true beauty — if the production version looks 90% like this lithe 4-door coupé, it will vault to top of the aesthetic charts for the crew at Sindelfelgen. But while looks are high, power is taking a backseat to efficiency — the vehicle unsheeting in Beijing will be (under)powered by a 208-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder lump. Hardly breathtaking, but maybe Benz is expecting the CSC’s looks to do all the heart fluttering.
