London boutique luxury automaker Eterniti Motors unveiled its first car at Beijing’s Auto China 2012 international motor show, and its quite the beast. Joining the likes of the Maserati Kubang and Lamborghini Urus Concept which we’ve previously covered, Eterniti claims the Artemis will be the “world’s first Super-SUV”, beating both competitors (and others, like Bentley) to the market by a substantial period when it hits showrooms this autumn. Aiming to provide the highest levels of luxury, performance and exclusivity, the Artemis will feature a lavishly appointed interior handcrafted in the finest leathers, natural wood and carbon fiber veneers and real lambswool rugs — with quilted undercarpets and boot trim, a choice of sunroofs and high end audio system. As is expected in emerging Asian markets, Eterniti will set up the Artemis to be both driven and chauffeured, so the rear has 100mm of extra legroom with twin reclining rear seats (heated and cooled), iPad-ready holders with electronic reveal and drinks chiller. Of course power is paramount in this upcoming segment, so the Artemis will be powered by a withering 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that generates over 600 bhp and 750 Nm (553 lb ft) torque, allowing the Super SUV to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 4.5 secs on the way to a top speed of over 180 mph (290 kph).
In order to better service its clientele and vehicles, Eterniti Motors is growing a network of showrooms in urban centers outside of its London headquarters. First Eterniti-owned showrooms will open in Taipei and Hong Kong, followed by Tokyo next year. But just to let their clients rest assured, Eterniti is offering a full two-year, 100,000-mile warranty for security. How much will all this luxury, performance and peace of mind cost? Oh, about $340,000 (£210,000).
