In May we told you about The Kooks performing secret Sidewalk Sets in Los Angeles and Paris. Now, fans from Walla Walla to Kissimmee will have the opportunity to witness some New York outdoor performances of their own. One day ahead of the band’s Central Park Summerstage show on September 10th, the Kooks are treating a handful of contest winners to a guided tour of the city’s most infamous rock and roll sights…on a double-decker bus, with guitars in tow. Sounds pretty phat — touring around downtown NYC on a bus, listening to a live concert. Taking straight shots of Makers Mark to the head in the Indian summer sun. Not bad. The tour will finish up at the Apple Store in Soho, where the band will be playing a free in-store show.
The grand prize winner gets two roundtrip flights to NYC, hotel accommodation for three nights, two seats on the double-decker tour bus, two spots at the in-store performance at the Apple Store in Soho, and two tickets to see The Kooks live at Central Park Summerstage on September 10th.
