To celebrate the upcoming HARD Haunted Mansion Day of the Dead music festival in downtown Los Angeles next weekend (November 3), HARD has commissioned Brandon Schoolhouse (aka jewelry maker Han Cholo) and fellow artist Matthew Goldman (aka MFG) to collaborate on a limited edition sterling silver skull ring. Crafted by Han Cholo, the ring is a 3D manifestation of MFG’s Day of the Dead skull, fitted out with HARD headphones. Only five pieces will be made, and three of the rings will be hidden across the sprawling Los Angeles landscape for fans to win. Beginning tomorrow (Friday, October 26), followers will have the chance to find them as clues are unlocked via Twitter at @HARDFEST. The festival will feature headliners Justice, Major Lazer, Knife Party and more, and will most definitely be an event. “We have been wanting to do a collaboration for a while now and the Day of the Dead seemed like the perfect timing,” said Gary Richards, HARD’s founder. “The MFG skull is a key part of our imagery for Day of the Dead and we knew that Brandon could bring it to life really well, we are all really happy with the end result.”
