Wrap your mind around wrapping a skull around your wrist

Inspectah_Desk_Cynthias_Son-INS-mixtape

One of the more underrated Wu Tang killer assassins, Inspectah Deck — aka Rebel INS — just dropped a mixtape collecting some of his recent singles and several unreleased tracks. Cynthia’s Son contains 19 songs of Inspectah Deck’s highly polished rhyme schemes, with about half the tracks produced by INS himself. Forever entering the hip-hop canon with one of the greatest verses of all times (his brain dizzying first verse from Wu Tang’s “Forever”), Cynthia’s Son certainly doesn’t disappoint… but it ain’t all heat, either. Give Cynthia’s Son a full listen below, and download if you’re feeling it.

For when your footwear needs to be really, really, really hideous

rick-owens-thigh-high-sneaker-boot-02-960x640

Sometimes the fashion world creates something so hideous, so absolutely repulsive to the human eye, that it cannot be ignored. The avant-garde Rick Owens, who’s never really feared taking things to their furthest points, delivers once again with his aptly named Thigh High Sneaker Boot. Part sneaker, part boot, part excuse to get flogged by angry mobs whose eyes burn in confusion, the Thigh High Sneaker Boot is part of Owens’ Fall/Winter 2014 collection. While we’re often on board with Owens’ “future primitivism” aesthetic, these boot/sneaker hybrids deserve to be burned and and their memories bleached from existence. Unless of course you think they’re awesome, in which case we’ll respectfully disagree and point you in the direction of their $1,300 (€1,041) pricepoint.

The Italian cruiser concept, even if you're not that into cruisers

motoguzzi

The Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Prototype — perhaps the greatest, gas-guzzliest cruiser concept to hit the EICMA show in Milano this past week — is getting the thumbs up from bike lovers everywhere, even if those enthusiasts aren’t usually ones taken to cruisers. Based on the California 1400, the huge Moto Guzzi MGX is all clad in carbon fiber, right down to its 21″ chrome front wheel that lends the prototype its name. Just a concept at this point, the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Prototype’s look is that of sleek monochromatic matte black lines, with a hint of red accents. Keep an ear to the ground and your eyes on the road for more to come.

The latest not-so-traditional original from Adidas Originals

reebok-tubular-sneaker

Named after the design of its tire-tube inspired outsole, the “Tubular” is the latest sneaker from Adidas Originals. Somewhat of a crossover between the tube-soled Y3 Qasa and the high-performance ZX, the tubular unites its unique sole with a neoprene sock fit which makes functionality and a light comfortable fit the sneaker’s key features. The upper is a varying tone-on-tone display of color, with shades of Collegiate Burgundy being shown on the Red Tubular above (and three other colorways to include Core Black, Collegiate Navy and Solid Grey). The tonal appearance of the upper is a sharp contrast against the white lace guard and rubber sole. Get your tube on at participating stores come November 21st.
