Chuck Norris jokes aside, this might be the most inventive writing pad we’ve seen since Moleskine’s suede-lined Folio Digital collection. The black Armed Notebooks from Megawing feature three distinctive designs, each with its own way of transforming symbols of violence into tools of creativity. Featuring a 3-dimensional embossed cover of either a hand grenade, revolver or knife, they’re aimed at the writer, artist or creative in between. The grenade cover features a “1 second” pull-tab to remind us just how much time you really have. The identical light grey plaid patterned pages are useful in making sketches and notes more organized. The knife cover features a visually realistic depiction of the cutting blade but gives the user slightly bigger spacing and a blank bottom portion to allow your creativity to run rampant. Lastly is the revolver cover more aimed at artists — with no lines or boxes, users can illustrate or sketch whatever comes to mind when using this notebook. Take that anger and turn yourself into a scribe through short stories, poems, lyrics, sketches or whatever else gets your creative juices flowing. Each costs $20.
